What is the Safe Ride Home program?

We have provided our festival participants with three options to help them plan a safe trip home after our fundraising event.

Option One

Our Designated Driver option gives participating drivers admittance at half price! They enjoy the same music, entertainment and tasty food morsels and also have a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages to imbibe.

Option Two

Sun Sounds is again offering an enhanced service to those who have no designated driver and prefer not to drive home following the festival. After the general ticket booth closes the Safe Ride Home Waiting Area will be set up with tables and chairs, just outside the ballpark. We have arranged for Yellow Cab to be standing by - saving you calling a taxi! They will be already there to give you a ride home. Volunteers will also take your order for free hot dogs, popcorn, iced tea and other non-alcoholic beverages - including coffee - for you to enjoy while you wait for your ride.

Option Three

Sun Sounds has arranged for a special FREE shuttle service from three local hotels to and from the beer festival: The Holiday Inn, Viscount Suite Hotel and Fairfield Inn Marriot. Your room key is your ticket to ride - and must be shown. A shuttle will be at each hotel at 4:00 pm to take people, preferably the VIPs, first. It will return at 4:30 pm, and so on until the demand drops or until 5:45 pm, whichever comes first. Shuttles from the festival back to the hotels will begin at 9.15 pm from the Safe Ride Home Waiting area. For further information on the local hotels offering discounts for festival participants, click here .
