and even though it was a rather damp affair, still raised much needed funds for Sun Sounds of Arizona. Our thanks to everyone who attended, and also those who planned, organized and helped put on the event, for your continued support of our non profit and the work we do in Tucson for the visually disabled. Thank you!
Let's do it all again next year. Check back periodically - as we make arrangements we will post them.
The Great Tucson Beer Festival is a marvellous evening of beer tasting, nibbling on morsels of excellent food provided by local eateries, plus entertainment musical and otherwise.
This year's festival location moved north of Ajo but was still be held at the ball park - the soccer ball park, Kino North Soccer Stadium, 2817 East Ajo Way, across the street frem Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.
There are two tiers of ticketing - general admission (entry at 6 pm) and VIP (early entry at 4.30 pm). A VIP ticket offered extra benefits - delicious food provided by Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, a special souvenir mug, Screamin’ Sicilian pizza, parking close to the Kino North Soccer Stadium for the first few hundred ticket holders, and entrance to the wine garden. Each tier also has a designated driver option.
On 23 February 2015 the Tucson affiliate of Sun Sounds of Arizona celebrated 30 years of assisting the print disabled access to information. This is our 29th Great Tucson Beer Festival which is locally organized by a very dedicated group of volunteers.
Our Great Tucson Beer Festival is one of the main reasons our doors are still open and our free radios are still on. Every penny of this event's proceeds benefits the Tucson affiliate.
All proceeds of the Great Tucson Beer Festivals benefit Sun Sounds of Arizona. There's plenty of free event parking. For the first few hundred VIPs it's at the Kino North Soccer Stadium; general admission parking is south of Ajo at Kino Veteran's Memorial Stadium (so there's a walk over the bridge to the event). No pets, except service animals, of course. This is a non smoking venue. No one under 21 years old will be allowed into the festival as an attendee, staff member, brewer or vendor. No children, no babies. There are absolutely NO exceptions. Please ensure you have the appropriate ID with you as you will be carded. In the interest of safety be prepared to have bags, back packs searched. There will be no rain checks. If you have questions please call us at 520-296-2400.
